Khadro-la 2014 Tour - Australia and New Zealand

Choden Rinpoche FPMT Australia Tour 2014

FPMTA is delighted to announce that Choden Rinpoche will present teachings and initiations between February and March 2014.

An eminent lama and scholar who is recognised as a skilful teacher in the Mahayana tradition.

Geshe Thubten Sherab Australian Tour 2014

FPMTA is extremely pleased to announce that Geshe Thubten Sherab will return to teach at Australian centres from 19 January 2014 to 15 March 2014.

Geshe Sherab taught and helped in FPMT International Office for 2 ½ years in Taos from 2001-2003, and also served as Director of FPMT Board for a few years. After he returned from USA, Geshe-la was in retreat for a year and was then appointed as Head Master of Kopan. For the last few years, Geshe Sherab has been teaching at FPMT Centers in USA, Mexico, Guatamala, Asia, Europe and Australia. Currently Geshe-la is resident teacher at Thubten Norbu Ling Center, Santa Fe, USA.

Geshe Sherab teaches in English in a very down to earth and humorous manner, bringing  clarity to even the most difficult topics. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of listening to Geshe-la don't miss this unique opportunity, you will not regret it!

Geshe Thubten Sherab Australian Tour 2012

FPMTA is pleased to announce the first Australian tour of Geshe Thubten Sherab from August to October 2012. There will be many wonderful topics covered, in various locations around Australia, including: The 12 Links of Dependant Arising; The 37 Practices; The Six Perfections and meditation on the Lam Rim.

Geshe Thubten Sherab was born in 1967 in a small village in the province of Manang, the western part of Nepal, to a Kagyu-Nyingma family. He entered Kopan Monastery at the age of nine and completed his Geshe studies at Sera Je monastery in South India, followed by a year at Gyumed Tantric College. He then completed retreat and teaching assignments both in the U.S. and Asia. He served as Head Master of Kopan Monastery's school for four years, overseeing debate training and tantric training activities. Geshe Sherab understands and connects very well with Western students, presenting the Dharma in English in an accessible, warm and open manner.

Dagri Rinpoche Australian Tour October 2010

About Dagri Rinpoche

Dagri Rinpoche was born in Tibet in 1958 and grew up during the Cultural Revolution of 1966-1975. In 1982 he escaped from Tibet. During his studies of Buddhist philosophy at Sera Monastery, he received support from Lama Yeshe and later Lama Zopa Rinpoche. Dagri Rinpoche has received the highest Geshe Lharampa degree.

RARE BUDDHIST RELICS on PUBLIC DISPLAY

We are delighted to announce the very first visit of the Maitreya Heart Shrine Relic Tour to Australia & New Zealand in May & June 2010. This is a rare opportunity to view these relics, which were found among the cremation ashes of Buddhist masters. They resemble beautiful pearl-like crystals. Buddhists believe the relics embody the master’s spiritual qualities of compassion and wisdom and have been deliberately produced by the master so that all may share in their blessing.
