Dalai Lama on MasterChef

His Holiness the Dalai Lama was invited as a guest on MasterChef Australia during his recent visit in June 2011.

It was an amazing episode that aired on Sunday 17 July with millions of viewers around Australia watching it, and you can watch it online. There are quite a few advertisements that you have to put up with, but it is so worth it!

There are a total of 7 clips that you can watch here. The link brings you to the full episodes but you will need to select ‘Dalai Lama Challenge’ from the video menu on the left.

Enjoy!

Maitreya Thangka Offered to Lama Zopa Rinpoche

The beautiful Maitreya appliqué thangka was offered to Lama Zopa Rinpoche as part of the recent Long Life Puja offered in June 2011, at Kopan Monastery, Nepal. When Rinpoche left for Kopan, they has so much excess luggage that the Thangka was not allowed onto the plane and was left behind in Bendigo, however Ven Roger informed me that a picture of the thangkha would be offered during the Long Life Puja instead.

Those who were able to connect with Dagri Rinpoche on his October 2010 tour were so extremely happy with RInpoche's very clear and tangible teaching style. Rinpoche also has a great sense of humour and it shines through in his teachings and interactions with people.
